Paappan is a Malayalam drama film directed by Joshiy, released in 2022. The film stars Asha Sharath, Suresh Gopi, Swasika Vijay, Gokul Suresh, and Nyla Usha in prominent roles. The narrative follows Abraham Mathew Mathan, a voluntarily retired officer determined to solve a long-standing murder case. The screenplay for the film was crafted by RJ Shaan.
Produced by Gokulam Gopalan, David Kachappilly, and Raaffi Mathirra, the film is presented under the banners of Sree Gokulam Movies, David Kachappilly Productions, and Iffaar Media. “Paappan” began streaming on Zee5 from September 7, 2022. Currently, there is no update regarding a sequel. Additionally, Suresh Gopi, who stars in the film, has recently won a BJP MP seat in Kerala.
