Vijay Deverakonda is an Indian film star, film producer, and media personality best known for his contributions to Telugu cinema. He made his debut in Ravi Babu’s romantic comedy Nuvvila (2011) in 2011, but he received critical acclaim for his supporting role in the upcoming drama Yevade Subramanyam (2015).
Vijay rose to prominence in the 2016 romantic comedy Pelli Choopulu, which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu and the Filmfare Award for Best Film-Telugu.
Vijay gradually established himself as Telugu cinema’s best actor by starring in critical and commercial successes such as Arjun Reddy (2017), Mahanati (2018), Geetha Govindam (2018), and Taxiwaala (2018), all of which rank among Telugu’s top-rated films.
He received numerous awards for his performance in Arjun Reddy, including the Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu. For his performance in Geetha Govindam, he received the South Indian Foreign Movie Critics Award for Best Actor in 2019 and was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu.
