Vijay Antony is a music composer, playback singer, producer, and actor from India. He began his career as a sound engineer before moving on to become a music director.
Antony was approached by Aascar Ravichandran to compose music for the film Dishyum at that time, and he eventually entered the Tamil film industry. However, the soundtrack to S. A. Chandrasekhar’s film Sukran was released first and served as his debut album.
His great hits in Tamil films, such as “Naaku Mukka” in Kadhalil Vizhunthen and “Aathichudi” in TN 07 AL 4777, greatly increased his fame.
His acting debut was in the Tamil film Naan. He is the first music director to try his hand at acting.
