Mahesh Babu is an Indian actor, producer, media personality, and humanitarian best known for his work in Telugu films. He is the owner of the production company G. Mahesh Babu Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. Mahesh, the younger son of veteran Telugu on-screen character Krishna, debuted as a child artist in Needa (1979) at the age of four and went on to appear in eight films as a child artist.
Mahesh collaborated with Koratala Siva on the family drama film Srimanthudu, which also starred Shruti Haasan. He co-created the film under his newly formed banner G. Mahesh Babu Entertainment Pvt. Ltd, marking his first venture into filmmaking. He chose to do so in order to keep the film’s budget under control, tolerating a benefit offer in lieu of compensation.
Srimanthudu, which was released on August 7, 2015, received positive reviews from critics, was financially successful, and earned Mahesh the best Telugu entertainer award at the 63rd Filmfare Grants South, indicating his renaissance. According to Sethumadhavan N. of Bangalore Mirror, Srimanthudu would not have been as viable without Mahesh Babu, who is at his most enticing.
