Mammootty is a well-known Indian actor and producer who was born on September 7, 1951 in Chandiroor, Travancore-Cochin (now Kerala), India as Muhammad Kutty Ismail Paniparambil. He is well-known for his work in Malayalam cinema, where he has appeared in over 350 films.
Mammootty studied law at Ernakulam Government Law College after graduating from Maharaja College in Kochi. In 1980, he married Sulphate, with whom he had a daughter, Anur, and a son, Dulkar Salman. Mammootty made his film debut in 1971 in the film Egangal Palichalkal, directed by S. Sethumadhavan. Mammootty, on the other hand, played a minor role.
He received the (first state award) in the category of “Best Supporting Actor” in 1981 for his outstanding performance in (non-violence).Mammootty had established himself as one of the top heroes of the Malayalam film industry between 1982 and 1984.
Mammootty had acted in 150+ films as the main lead hero between 1982 and 1986, all in just five years. Oru CBI Diary Kurippu-1988 was the commercial hit and highest earner in Malayalam film history.
He has collaborated with nearly all of Tamil cinema’s top directors, including “Mani Ratnam” and “Balchandar” (Azhaggan) (Dalpati). He appeared in several Tamil films alongside Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, which helped him gain popularity among Tamil audiences.
