R Parthiban, who is currently attending the 75th Cannes Film Festival with his filmmaker-daughter Keerthana, is placing a large bet on his upcoming film Iravin Nizhal. This project, billed as the world’s first non-linear single shot film, involved over 300 actors and 150 technicians who were all choreographed into one single shot after 90 days of rehearsals.
Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Robo Shankar, Priyanka Ruth, Brigida Saga, and Parthiban himself star in the film, which has a runtime of about 100 minutes. Arthur Wilson did the cinematography.
A.R. Rahman, an Oscar winner, composed the film’s music Six songs are said to be included in the film, which is set to hit theatres on June 24. In the first week of June, the producers plan to hold a grand audio launch event in Chennai.
