Dr. Siddharth Mohanty, a young doctor who has just completed his MBBS from a government medical college, is posted to a remote tribal area in the Malkangiri district in 2015. Janbai PHC encompasses 151 villages, is notorious for Naxal dominance, and lacks even the most basic amenities.
Dr. Siddharth Mohanty arrives reluctantly, wanting to leave as soon as possible. But fate has other plans. Daman is the story of 151 villages and one doctor battling malaria, a battle between superstition and medical science.
