Kolaiseval is a Tamil psychological thriller set to release on 13 March 2026. Written and directed by VR. Thudhivaanan, the film is produced by RP. Bala under the banner of RP Films. The technical crew includes P.G. Muthiah as cinematographer, Ajai Manoj as editor, and music composed by Santhan.
The movie stars Kalaiyarasan in the lead role alongside Deepa Balu, Bala Saravanan, Aadhav Chandra, Gajaraj, Vijay Sathya, Akaran Venkat, Raja Mani, Dhanam, and Vijaya Lakshmi in supporting roles.
The story is set in a village in the Thiruvannamalai district, where a tradition has been followed for more than 200 years. According to the custom, whenever a woman in the village becomes pregnant, the family must cook Pongal and sacrifice a goat to their family deity located deep inside a forest. When the pregnant heroine reaches her ninth month, the family travels to the temple to perform the ritual. However, the surrounding forest is known for mysterious and illegal activities. What happens to the family when they enter this dangerous place and why the temple is located deep within the forest forms the gripping core of the story.
