Marutham is an upcoming Tamil social drama, directed and written by V. Gajendran and produced by C. Venkatesan under the banner of Aruvar Private Limited. The film is set to release on 10 October 2025 and stars Vidaarth, Rakshana, Lollu Sabha Maaran, and Arul Doss in lead roles.
The story follows Kanniyappan (Vidaarth), a hardworking farmer whose peaceful life shatters when he discovers that his ancestral farmland has been mysteriously auctioned off due to an unpaid loan. To his shock, Kanniyappan never borrowed money from any bank or financial institution. As he sets out to uncover the truth, he becomes entangled in a dark web of deceit and injustice, shedding light on the struggles faced by farmers against systemic exploitation.
With Arul K. Somasundaram’s cinematography, Chandru B’s sharp editing, and a powerful musical score by N. R. Raghunandhan, Marutham promises to be an emotional and thought-provoking tale of resilience, truth, and justice.
