Following the success of Teddy, director Shakthi Soundar Rajan and Arya have teamed up again for the action film Captain. The film’s production, which began in October 2021, was completed by mid-February 2022. The team released the first-look poster last month to build anticipation.
Red Giant Movies acquired the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights for Captain, and it was released in theatres on September 8, 2022. The film began streaming on Zee5 on September 30, 2022. Despite its release, the film suffered a significant loss on the production side, and there are no updates about a sequel or further developments at this time.
