Christopher Nolan is an American/British film actor, director, producer and writer. Christopher Nolan is considered one of the greatest English film directors of today.
Nolan gained international recognition with his second film, Memento (2000). He was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for it.
With Insomnia (2002) he moved into his own film production. He also found critical and commercial success with The Dark Knight Trilogy (2005–2012), The Prestige (2006) and Inception (2010). The latter earned Nolan two Academy Award nominations for Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay. This was followed by Interstellar (2014), Dunkirk (2017) and Tenet (2020).
For Dunkirk, he received two Academy Award nominations. It also includes a first nomination for Best Director. Nolan won the Academy Award for Best Director and Best Picture for his 12th film Oppenheimer (2023)
